Could a common gene make you more vulnerable to heat stroke?
NCT ID NCT06847256
Summary
This study aims to understand if people who carry the cystic fibrosis gene (but don't have the disease) are at higher risk for dehydration and heat-related problems. Researchers will compare 100 CF carriers with 100 non-carriers through surveys, and a smaller group will undergo a controlled heat challenge in a sauna. The goal is to gather knowledge about how this genetic factor affects the body's response to heat and fluid balance.
