Can a brain protein cocktail wake up stroke survivors?

Summary

This small study tests whether a drug called cerebrolysin can improve consciousness in people who have been in a vegetative or minimally conscious state for over a month after a bleeding stroke. Twelve adults aged 19 to 80 will receive either the drug or a placebo daily for two weeks. Researchers will measure changes in consciousness levels and brain activity using special scans.
