Experimental drug aims to shield celiac patients from Gluten's harm
NCT ID NCT06001177
Summary
This study tested whether an investigational drug called KAN-101 could protect the intestines of people with celiac disease from damage caused by accidentally eating gluten. Fifty-five adults who follow a strict gluten-free diet were given either KAN-101 or a placebo and then underwent a controlled gluten challenge. The main goal was to see if the drug could lessen the gut damage typically caused by gluten exposure.
