First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study measured levels of a protein called CD71 in placentas from 39 women with preeclampsia and 39 with normal blood pressure during pregnancy. Researchers wanted to see if CD71 is linked to placental problems and how it relates to newborn health. The goal is to better understand what causes preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication.
