First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests a treatment called CD19 CAR T-cell therapy for people with severe lupus that hasn't improved with standard treatments. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, modified in a lab to target and attack faulty immune cells driving the disease. The main goal is to check safety and side effects in 8 adults, with a single infusion after mild chemotherapy.
