Summary
This study tested a new type of physical therapy that also addresses thoughts and feelings (cognitive-behavioral therapy) to help people recover after a serious leg injury. The goal was to see if this program could improve physical function, reduce pain, and help people return to work or duty. The study included 633 adults aged 18-60 who had surgery for a leg or pelvis injury.
