First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a substance in the blood called catestatin can be used as a marker for disease activity in people with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). Researchers will compare catestatin levels in 70 patients with the disease to healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if catestatin levels relate to heart problems and small blood vessel damage caused by the condition.
