New home therapy helps stroke survivors overcome fear of falling

Summary

This study tested a new home-based program for 30 stroke survivors to help reduce fear of falling. The program combined physical therapy exercises with cognitive behavioral therapy, guided by community health workers and a physical therapist via video calls. The goal was to see if the approach was feasible and could improve balance confidence.
