New lens offers sharper vision at all distances after cataract surgery
NCT ID NCT07548294
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026
Summary
This study tested three types of artificial lenses (IOLs) used in cataract surgery to improve vision. 197 people received either a standard, enhanced, or new extended depth-of-focus (EDOF) lens in both eyes. The goal was to see which lens provides the best vision at far, middle, and near distances, and how satisfied patients are with their glasses-free vision. Results were checked at 6 months after surgery.
