Summary
This study tested a new program where early teens with developmental disabilities and their family cats worked together in structured training sessions. The goal was to see if the program could improve the bond between the teen and their cat, and encourage the teen to take part in cat care activities like walking the cat. The study included 36 families and focused on understanding how the cat's attachment to the teen changed over time.
