Liver bleeding breakthrough? new drug trial aims to save lives

Summary
This study compares two blood pressure medications (carvedilol and propranolol) to see which works better at preventing repeat bleeding in people with advanced liver disease. All 350 participants will first receive a procedure to tie off swollen veins, then take one of the two medications. Researchers will track whether patients experience bleeding again over three years to determine which drug provides better protection.
