NCT ID NCT07032675
First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a device that uses low-temperature radiofrequency to reshape cartilage removed from the nose or ear during surgery. Researchers want to see how many treatments are needed to get the desired shape and if it improves breathing and appearance. Twenty adults having nose surgery will take part, and they will be followed for one month after surgery.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Low-temperature radiofrequency device (Vivaer)
What this could lead to
If successful, this technique could make nose reshaping surgery more precise and efficient, potentially improving both breathing and cosmetic outcomes.
What could go wrong
This is a small early study with only 20 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The procedure is done on removed cartilage, so benefits in living tissue are uncertain.
As listed by the trial registrant
