Can simple hand exercises beat wrist splints for carpal tunnel relief?

NCT ID NCT07359274

First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding specific hand therapy exercises (nerve gliding or wrist bone mobilization) to standard wrist splinting improves symptoms more than splinting alone. About 93 people with mild-to-moderate carpal tunnel syndrome will receive one of three treatments for four weeks. Researchers will measure pain, function, and nerve changes using questionnaires and ultrasound.
