Hand surgery upgrade may stop carpal tunnel symptoms from coming back

NCT ID NCT07594821

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests if releasing an extra ligament in the forearm during carpal tunnel surgery helps people feel better than the standard surgery alone. About 110 adults with confirmed carpal tunnel syndrome will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries. The goal is to see which approach reduces hand symptoms like pain and numbness more effectively.
