Summary
This study tested two types of injections for people with mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome: one with a common steroid (betamethasone) and one with a simple sugar solution (5% dextrose). Thirty adults with hand numbness, tingling, and pain for at least 3 months received an ultrasound-guided injection. Researchers measured pain levels and hand function to see which treatment worked better.
