New program aims to ease Cancer's heavy burden

NCT ID NCT07183527

Summary

This study is testing a care program called CARES that helps cancer patients manage common and distressing symptoms like pain, depression, and fatigue. It will involve about 1,750 adult cancer patients to see if the program improves their quality of life and reduces emergency room visits and hospital stays in a real-world setting. The goal is to move this supportive care approach from research into regular clinical practice.
