What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors better monitor and screen for heart issues in people who have had COVID-19.
What could go wrong
The study was terminated early and only enrolled 80 people, so results may be limited and not apply to everyone. It was observational, not testing a treatment.
