First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests a minimally invasive procedure called cardioneuroablation for people with variant angina (chest pain from heart artery spasms) that doesn't get better with medication. The procedure uses a catheter to target nerve clusters on the heart to reduce abnormal nerve signals that may trigger spasms. The study includes 16 adults aged 18-80 with confirmed variant angina who either don't respond to drugs or can't take them. Researchers will track changes in chest pain frequency, heart monitoring results, and medication use to see if the procedure is safe and helpful.
