First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a 12-week cardiac rehabilitation program could improve movement, heart function, and fitness in people aged 70 and older with heart failure. 65 participants were randomly assigned to either start rehab right away or wait. The program included supervised exercise and education. Researchers measured things like oxygen use during exercise, heart function on ultrasound, and muscle strength to see if the program helped.
