NCT ID NCT07600138
First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether adding extra carbohydrates to a protein supplement helps resistance-trained men build more muscle and strength. Twenty men took either a protein-only or a protein-plus-carb supplement for 8 weeks each, then switched. The results showed that the extra carbs did not lead to any significant improvements in muscle size, strength, or endurance.
