Summary
This study looked at how often certain gut bacteria (Enterobacteria) are becoming resistant to a powerful group of antibiotics called carbapenems. Researchers tested samples from 287 patients in northwest France to find and understand these resistant strains. The goal was to measure the current threat and help guide future treatment decisions.
