First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares two drugs, carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine, to see which one provides better pain relief for people with trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that causes sudden, severe facial pain. About 122 adults aged 18 to 60 with the condition for at least two weeks will take one of the two drugs. The main goal is to measure pain relief using a simple 0-to-10 pain scale, and the study will also track side effects like liver problems, nausea, and dizziness.
