One-Time immune cell infusion tested as powerful new weapon against Tough-to-Treat blood cancer
NCT ID NCT05396885
Summary
This study is testing a single infusion of a patient's own genetically modified immune cells (called CART-ddBCMA) to fight multiple myeloma that has returned or stopped responding to other treatments. It aims to see how well this one-time therapy controls the cancer and how safe it is for patients. The treatment involves collecting a patient's T-cells, modifying them in a lab to target the cancer, and then infusing them back after a short course of chemotherapy.
