Engineered immune cells take on stubborn leukemia in early trial

Summary

This study tests a new treatment for people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has come back or not responded to standard therapy. The treatment uses the patient's own immune cells, modified to better find and attack leukemia cells. The goal is to see if this therapy can safely reduce or eliminate the cancer. About 20 adults will take part.
