Donated cord blood cells engineered to fight tough cancers
NCT ID NCT05703854
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new cell therapy for people with advanced kidney cancer, mesothelioma, or bone cancer (osteosarcoma) that has stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors will give patients a special type of immune cell, called a Natural Killer (NK) cell, that has been taken from donated umbilical cord blood and modified in a lab to better find and attack cancer. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if this approach can shrink tumors.
