First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether canagliflozin, a diabetes medicine, can improve fluid removal and reduce scarring in the belly lining for 30 adults on peritoneal dialysis. Participants will take the drug or a placebo for 26 weeks each, then switch. The goal is to see if the drug helps dialysis work better and protects the membrane used for treatment.
