Blood test may predict heart attack risk in fatty liver patients

NCT ID NCT07487571

First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test called mean platelet volume (MPV) can help predict heart attacks in people with metabolic fatty liver disease. Researchers will compare MPV levels in 60 adults—some with both fatty liver and heart problems, and some with fatty liver only. The goal is to see if MPV can serve as an early warning sign for heart trouble in this group.
