NCT ID NCT07565051

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study aims to find out if a person's lean body mass before gastric bypass surgery can help predict how much weight they will lose in the two years after the procedure. Researchers will follow 91 adults with severe obesity who are scheduled for or have already had the surgery. They will measure body composition, muscle strength, nutrition, and quality of life during routine check-ups to see if these factors are linked to weight loss success.
