Silent danger: many tracheostomy complications in kids show no warning signs

NCT ID NCT07121517

First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at children with tracheostomies to see if serious airway problems can be spotted early by symptoms parents or doctors notice. Researchers will compare these symptoms with what a camera inside the airway (endoscopy) finds. The goal is to understand how reliable symptom reports are for catching complications early.
