New hope for advanced stomach cancer: drug combo targets tumors after chemo fails

NCT ID NCT04342910

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of two drugs (camrelizumab and apatinib) can help people with advanced stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer live longer compared to standard chemotherapy. The trial includes 550 adults whose cancer progressed after first-line platinum-based chemo. The main goal is to see if the combo improves survival in patients with a specific tumor marker (PD-L1 positive).
