Gene monitoring may forecast blood cancer worsening

Summary
This study looks at whether changes in a gene called CALR can help doctors predict when certain blood cancers (myeloproliferative neoplasms) get worse. Researchers will follow 260 adults diagnosed between 2006 and 2020, using stored blood samples to track the gene over time. The goal is to see if rising or falling gene levels signal disease progression, which could improve future monitoring. No new treatments are being tested.
