New diabetes combo drug shows promise in phase 3 trial

Summary
This study tested a new investigational medicine called CagriSema in 274 adults with type 2 diabetes. Participants took either CagriSema or a placebo once a week, in addition to their usual daily insulin (with or without metformin). The goal was to see if CagriSema could lower blood sugar and body weight more than placebo. The study lasted about one year.
