First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of two drugs (cadonilimab and lenvatinib) given before surgery to 39 people with kidney cancer that was difficult to operate on. The goal was to shrink the tumor enough so that only the cancerous part of the kidney could be removed, sparing the rest of the kidney. The approach aims to make surgery safer and preserve kidney function.
