First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether a computer-aided detection (CADe) system helps doctors find more polyps during colonoscopy. 421 adults aged 40-80 undergoing screening or diagnostic colonoscopy were randomly assigned to standard high-definition colonoscopy with or without CADe assistance. The main goal was to see if CADe improves the adenoma detection rate, a key measure for preventing colorectal cancer.
