First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at 300 women who had a C-section to find out which type of stitch (Vicryl, Monocryl, or Prolene) leads to fewer infections and better-looking scars. Researchers checked for wound infections 10 days after surgery and compared scar appearance at 2 and 6 months. The goal is to help doctors choose the best material for healing and cosmetic results.
