NCT ID NCT02129751

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether bupropion hydrobromide, a medication already used in adults, can safely reduce symptoms of major depression in children and teenagers aged 7 to 17. About 246 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo (a pill with no active medicine) to compare effects. The goal is to see if the drug improves mood and daily function without serious side effects.
