First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a new drug called budoprutug (TNT119) in 30 adults with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who have active disease and haven't responded well to at least two other treatments. The main goal is to check the drug's safety and how the body handles it. Researchers will also look for early signs of whether it might help control lupus symptoms.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
budoprutug (TNT119)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for people with active SLE who haven't responded well to other therapies.
What could go wrong
This is a very early Phase 1 trial with only 30 participants, focused on safety. It's too soon to know if budoprutug will effectively control SLE or have serious side effects.
