New program aims to stop accidental fentanyl deaths in stimulant users
NCT ID NCT07219082
Summary
This study tests a brief education program called BSAFE, designed to prevent accidental fentanyl overdoses in people who use stimulants like cocaine or methamphetamine. Researchers will compare BSAFE to a standard information session to see which better reduces overdose risk and dangerous behaviors. The goal is to provide practical safety education to a group at high risk for unintentionally consuming fentanyl mixed into other drugs.
