Brain training vs. jaw exercises: new study targets teeth grinding pain

NCT ID NCT07336082

Summary

This study is testing two different physical therapy approaches to reduce pain from daytime teeth clenching (awake bruxism). Researchers will compare a program focused on improving body and sensory awareness of the face and jaw against a program of traditional jaw and posture exercises. Twenty adults with bruxism will be randomly assigned to one of these programs or a waitlist group to see which approach better reduces pain and improves jaw function over four weeks.
