Scientists investigate brown Fat's role in burning energy

Summary

This study looks at brown adipose tissue (BAT), a type of body fat that may help burn energy, improve insulin sensitivity, and reduce fatty liver. Researchers will give a drug called mirabegron to women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and healthy men for 4 weeks to see how BAT activity changes. Participants will undergo scans, metabolic tests, and blood work to measure energy use and overall metabolic health.
