Summary
This study tests whether a daily broccoli seed and sprout extract (BSSE) can boost firefighters' natural ability to remove cancer-causing toxins from their bodies. Firefighters are often exposed to harmful chemicals like benzene, which increases their cancer risk. 72 firefighters will take either BSSE or a placebo for 12 weeks, and researchers will measure changes in detoxification activity using a safe acetaminophen challenge.
