Needle-Free fix for hemorrhoid bleeding tested in Europe-Wide study

NCT ID NCT07264413

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study will follow 250 adults with moderate hemorrhoid bleeding to see how well a minimally invasive procedure called hemorrhoid artery embolization works. The procedure blocks blood flow to the hemorrhoids using tiny coils, requires only local anesthesia, and allows faster recovery than surgery. The goal is to reduce bleeding and improve quality of life.
