Can light glasses beat CPAP fatigue? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT05917119

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether wearing bright light therapy glasses can reduce leftover daytime sleepiness and depressive symptoms in people with obstructive sleep apnea who already use CPAP. About 60 participants will wear active or sham light glasses for four weeks each, in random order. The goal is to see if the light therapy improves alertness and mood beyond what CPAP alone provides.
