First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether simple breathing exercises can reduce compassion fatigue and work stress in emergency department nurses. Sixty-four nurses will be randomly assigned to either a breathing exercise group or a control group. Researchers will measure changes in stress and compassion fatigue using standard questionnaires. The goal is to find an easy, drug-free way to support the mental health of nurses working in high-pressure emergency settings.
