New sensor could predict when oxygen therapy fails
NCT ID NCT07228676
Summary
This study is testing a new computer algorithm designed to monitor how hard patients are working to breathe while receiving high-flow oxygen through the nose. The goal is to see if this non-invasive method is feasible and if it can help predict when a patient's oxygen therapy might fail, leading to the need for a breathing tube. The study involves 20 adult patients in intensive care who are already receiving this type of oxygen treatment.
