First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special breastfeeding support program, based on Kolcaba's comfort theory, could help new mothers feel more comfortable while breastfeeding. The study involved 68 first-time mothers who had vaginal births. Researchers developed a scale to measure breastfeeding comfort and compared the support group to a control group. The goal was to see if holistic support addressing physical, emotional, and social needs makes breastfeeding easier.
