20-Year study sheds light on rare breast tumor outcomes

NCT ID NCT07636096

First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study reviewed medical records of about 3,500 patients with phyllodes tumors, a rare type of breast tumor, treated at 8 top hospitals in China between 2001 and 2023. Researchers aim to describe the tumor features, treatments used, and long-term outcomes like recurrence and survival. Because phyllodes tumors are uncommon and most prior research focused on Western patients, this study provides much-needed data from a large Asian population.
