Scientists hunt for clues to make breast cancer chemo more effective

NCT ID NCT03096418

Summary

This study aims to learn if a common chemotherapy drug (paclitaxel) works better against breast cancers that have a specific type of genetic instability. Researchers will give the drug to 50 women with breast cancer before their surgery and take multiple tumor samples to measure the drug's levels and effects. The goal is to find biological markers that can predict which patients will respond best to this treatment.
