Can a special breakfast boost your Body's energy tank?

NCT ID NCT07476989

Summary

This study aims to understand if eating a high-carbohydrate breakfast containing two types of sugars (glucose and fructose) helps the liver store more energy fuel, called glycogen, after a night's sleep. Researchers will compare three breakfasts—no breakfast, a standard carb breakfast, and a mixed-sugar breakfast—in 12 healthy, athletic men. They will use MRI scans and blood tests to measure liver glycogen and other body responses to see which breakfast best prepares the liver for exercise.
