Zapping depression: new study tests faster brain stimulation

NCT ID NCT07264452

Summary

This study is testing two faster versions of a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment for people whose depression hasn't improved with medication. 60 participants will receive either 'intermittent' or 'continuous' theta burst stimulation to their brain's prefrontal cortex over two weeks. Researchers will compare how well each method reduces depression, anxiety, and sleep problems, and will track results for 12 weeks after treatment.
